Whoop, Whoop.....only three days left and summer officially starts!

I'm excited about summer....especially to see Miss Scheetz!  What are my peeps plans for the summer?  I'm hunting for cats, eating cat food, eating cheese and going on road trips....I love road trips!

Good afternoon peeps!

I hear you have been doing some reports about the GREAT 50 states.  I think you can all guess my favorite?  YES....my home state of Missouri!  Want to know why?????? My love of the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI or we like to call it Mizzou!

You have to love our beautiful campus.

This is where they have the traditional tiger walk.  Incoming freshmen walk through the columns as they begin their four years and they do the walk again when they graduate and become Alumni.  Ask Miss Scheetz about this....she has done it!

Here is the home of the Missouri Tiger Football team.

This, my friends, is Truman the Tiger....the official mascot of the Missouri Tigers.  I love everything about him EXCEPT he's a CAT!!    Why can't they be called the Missouri Basset Hounds?

Comparing myself with others................................................

This is a Daschund......they are smaller than me but I have a friend who is one and her name is Lilly. Remember our play date?

A real cutie!

This is a Golder Retriever....they are bigger than me and it's the kind of dog my "forever family" had before they adopted me.

This is a Yorkie. They are very small and just the type of dog I want to be friends with!!!!

This is a beagle.  I am related to them.

This is a blood hound.  I am a cross between a beagle and a blood hound.....can you see that? Basset hounds are only second to the blood hound in sense of smell.

If they could have only made our legs as long as our ears............oh well....more dog knowledge tomorrow!

My "forever family"!

I know I talk about myself a lot on this blog.......I mean hello......it is a dog's life!  Anyhoo, today I thought I would tell you more about my "forever family."

Here they are....that's the mister on the right and his name is Bill and that is the Mrs. on the left and her name is Paige.  Bill sells cars and Paige sells houses.  They are a great team!  They have two kids and have been married for 27 years!!!!

Here are the kids.....I think you might recognize one of them????


The Mrs. takes care of me all day because she mainly works from home but the Mr. walks me at night.  SHHHHH.....come closer, I'm going to tell you a secret.....I always act like I don't want to walk with him but I really do.....I like to play hard to get!!!  He is amazing....I have bitten him twice...and he still walks me every night, pets me when he gets home from work and shares beef jerky with me!!!!  I gotta love him!


Last but not least in our family is: (any guesses?)

Sweet, little EVIL kitty!!  If it weren't for her we would have no cat food in our house.  A house with no cat food makes me sad........Mallone no likey!!!

Let's learn more about ME!!

Today I want you to learn more about Basset Hounds.  Every time you hear the word rabbit...replace it with the words kitty cat please.

I didn't like them calling me stubborn.  I'm not stubborn!  I just don't want to do what I don't want to do, when or how they want me to do it! Is that stubborn?

Music Monday and my ode to travelin.......

Wish I could travel to Texas to see my peeps before the end of the year....but it's not going to happen(sigh) Happy Monday!

P.S.  Thanks to my first grade peeps for all the thank you letters!  You kids are smart!  Mallone was impressed with your writing skills.....I can't imagine how good you'll be at the end of 2nd grade!!!

Pardon my absence this week.  I have been a bad doggie.  It has been such a long and busy week and I have had no time for blogging.....will you forgive me?

It's Friday....that's what I'm talking about!

Woo hoo....gotta love a Friday!   WOW....my peeps sure are learning a lot!

Just reading about everything you are learning makes my brain hurt...ouch!!!!  You are so lucky to go to school everyday and get to learn!!!! Did you know that there are countries that do not allow young girls to go to school????  You really are lucky!  Not me...I have to stay home all day and make sure that cat isn't laying in my favorite spots or eating my food...it's exhausting work!!

Would love to hear more about those critters!  Did you know that I lived in another state besides Missouri?  Yup...it's true!  Any guesses which one?  It's where I was living when my "forever family" adopted me. (BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!)

My surprise gift is coming next week to my peeps in Missouri and Texas!!!  Have a great weekend.....as a dog likes to say "woof, woof!"
