All I want for Christmas.........

The top 10 things Mallone wants for Christmas this year....let's do this!

#10 - Cat food....really, doesn't everyone have this one on their list?

#9 - A new kitty....I'm getting a little bored with the one I have...plus she's not scared of me..what's that
       all about?

#8 - How about a mouse for my cat? Christmas is about giving....and I think our cat would like that!

#7 - Bones, bones and more bones....cannot get enough of these babies!  Look at the one I got last year!

# 6 - More walks! I know I already get 4 or 5 a day....but I'm all about fitness!

#5 - CHEESE! Love me some cheese.....I would like some of that cheese in a can too...that looks like
       fun!!

#4 - A dog park!  What dog doesn't want their own dog park?  That way I could hang with all my pals, all
       the time....gotta love that!

#3 - More car rides.....just because that's how I roll!

#2 - For all dogs and cats to be adopted from shelters and rescues!  I wish every dog and cat could have
       a "forever family" like me!  I've come a long way in one year.......

Getting caught up.......

WOW.......what a great Thanksgiving!  Unfortunately, I woke up on Monday with a flu bug : (

So now I'm having a hard time getting caught up........feeling better today so I'm going to give it a try!

#1 question from all my peeps......"what's your favorite food?"  This one is EASY!  I assumed you would all know the answer from ready my blog......CAT FOOD!  Man, I don't know what they put in this stuff but it is good...plus, when I eat it all...then the cat doesn't get any...LOL!  I do enjoy steak, burgers, cheese, bones and beef jerky too...just sayin : )

P.S.  Some of my 4th graders sent me some math problems...can Mallone use a calculator? These problems are tough!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day Peeps!  I will be taking some time off of blogging until after Thanksgiving......I still need to figure out how to marinade cat food in pumpkin?
The top 5 things Mallone is thankful for this Thanksgiving:

#5 - Kitty - She sure makes life more fun at my "forever family" house!  We act like we don't like each other but deep down....I love my kitty like a sister!

#4 - Food....cat food, bones, cheese, table scraps, beef jerky.....dog food.  In that order......

#3 - my walks......I gotta take care of business and my family let's me do lots of sniffing while we are out doing that....LOVE my walks!

#2 - my peeps!  I love ALL my peeps!  The ones in Kansas City, St. Joseph and Texas! Love all of you....you encourage me everyday and I can only hope I do the same for you!

#1 - My FOREVER FAMILY!  They are the best. I sometimes have to pinch myself thinking about my life a year ago compared to now....I always have a warm place to sleep and plenty to drink and eat...what more could a dog ask for?

Back in the kitchen...time to thaw the turkey! I wonder if anyone has ever roasted a kitty for Thanksgiving?  Happy turkey day!

HOLY CANNOLI!

Holy Cannoli peeps!  Last night my "forever family" met up with Miss Scheetz for dinner.....I got some of the BEST questions, comments, pictures and information ever!  In fact.....my brain hurts from reading all of that!

I can't wait to post some answers to your questions and give some shout outs....BUT WAIT.....in order to be fair to our peeps in St. Joseph I will wait until I have their questions after Thanksgiving.  Have a great weekend out there!

Sometimes the hardest part of being me....is looking busy!

Here's a thought......everyone write a questions down for me, give it to your teacher and I will try to answer all of them.........eventually!  I will see your teachers at Thanksgiving dinner so they can give them to me then!  AWESOME! For Thanksgiving I'm hoping for cat food and a BIG bone!

Good morning!  Today I want to give prop to my peeps! You kids work so hard at school and I am really, really proud of you! I sure wish I could go to school.....I guess they won't let dog's come to school?  My "forever family" is threatening to take me to obedience school....no thank you!

I'm going to talk (bark) to your Teachers this weekend and find out what you are learning about and I'm going to start making Wednesday's......MASTER MALLONE'S PROBLEM day! Well....what do you think?  I know you can do it....don't be scared!

My "forever" family.......

Good Morning.....I want to tell you about my adoption.  See....I was in another family and they didn't take very good care of me.  So, long story short, I ended up being rescued and living in a dog shelter until I was adopted!  I can't tell you how lonely I was!  I call my new family...my "forever" family because I know they are going to keep me FOREVER!

Here is a little about my family:

This is the "Mrs.".....she is my main caretaker.  She walks me, feeds me, baths me, gives me belly rubs and massages my ears...what more could a dog ask for?  Plus she proofs my blog after I write it...I LOVE HER!

This is the "Mr." He walks me and takes care of me but I will admit I was a little scared of him at first.  I think the "Mr." in my first family wasn't very nice to me.....so I question all men sometimes.  I will admit though....that I'm starting to like this one!

The "Mr." and the "Mrs." are Miss Scheetz's parents.  The "Mr." is Mrs. Donaldson's brother.  See....we are just one, big, happy family!

Oh wait...I almost forgot........

Kitty.....she lives here too...unfortunately!  That's my "Forever family" and they are keepers for sure!

Does your nose cause problems for you?

Does your nose cause problems for you?  Mine does......

Basset Hounds are known for our sense of smell......and mine can cause me to get in trouble a lot!!!

When we walk I want to sniff at things.....I could stand in the same spot, and smell the same smell for 5 or 10 minutes....this is where the problem comes in.  Nobody wants to wait while I figure out this smell.  Who's walk is this anyway?

I'm a little sad to tell you that my "forever family" is going on vacation and they are not taking me : ( I will be going to my favorite kennel called Elk Hound Ranch.  I must admit that they take VERY good care of me including letting me have morning and afternoon recess...that's my favorite.  I won't be back for a week......I miss you all already!

I started my day with a walk.....now it's time for a nap!
