Something different.....

Have I ever told you....I love to walk!  I prefer for my "forever family" to take me on 4-5 a day. We usually manage that.  We have several different routes we take.  Just for fun the other day......we went a whole new way!

First we got in the car....you know I was all about that!!!

The we walked and ran all over an open field...it was soooooo much fun.  I loved it!  It was nice to do something different. Sometimes it gets old walking the same way everyday.  I had new smells, new hills, and great new trees....for taking care of business!

Thanks "forever family"! THANKS FOR ADOPTING ME AND THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL SPECIAL EVERYDAY!

Meet Joey.....my new BFF!

Morning Peeps...hope you enjoyed music Monday as much as I did......love a great hound dog song...you know what I'm talking about!

Well today my blog is all about me and my new BFF (BEST FRIEND FOREVER) Joey!!!!! Joey is a first grader in St. Joesph, Missouri and he came and spent a day with me last week in Platte City.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very good so we spent most of the day inside but made the most of it because that's what best friends do...right?

This was right when I met him inside of our front door...is it just me...or is Joey kind of flat??

Then I introduced Joey to the cat.....look out Joey...her claws are sharp!

Enough kitty time Joey...let's go play!

We did go outside for a few minutes and had lunch on the picnic table.....then that crazy Joey got tired and needed a nap so I tucked in my bed...night, night.

Then I told Joey to hop on and I gave him a piggy back ride! That was FUN!

We did have one problem.....close your eyes if you have a weak stomach:

Had some emergency surgery and all was well.

Thanks for spending the day with me Joey!  You are fun, kind, you have good manners and you are FLAT....everything I have ever wanted in a friend.

P.S. I will be randomly be taking Joey with me on trips the rest of the year....he is such a cool dude!!!!

Learning to LOVE!

Yup...it's true!  Our "kitty cat" has started coming upstairs.  Say what? I know, I know.....at first I couldn't believe it either.  How would we live together? Could we possibly live in peace and harmony?

We actually play now!  I'm not going to lie....I kinda miss the old days when she stayed in the basement.  Now she is sleeping in bed with my "forever family"....excuse me...but I don't even get to do that.  But don't you kids worry....I still run down and eat her cat food EVERY chance I get. (That's a lot)

Listen close...(I'm whispering now...because I don't want that cat to hear me) but I'm still kind of scared of her.  Sometimes she still hisses at me or tries to scratch me when I'm not looking.  Darn cat....I love her anyway!

Nap time...that cat wears me out!  Have a good weekend peeps!!!!!!!!

Who doesn't love a car ride?

Have I told my peeps about my love of riding in the car?  It's true......just love, love, to go where ever my "forever family" is willing to take me.  I like to go to the park, the store, errands, Grandma's....but my all time favorite is Dairy Queen!  Love me some ice cream!

My "forever family" thinks I shed too much and complain "too much" about it but they usually take me anyway.

Who can say no to this face?  I mean really....I am kind of adorable. (not to brag but that's what my forever Mom is always say'in)

I wish they would just let me drive this thing.  How hard can it be?  My first stop would be to see my peeps in Texas and St. Joseph for sure!  Then I would go straight to Dairy Queen and get a large peanut butter cup Blizzard.............YUMMY!

P.S.  Is it just me.....or is my tongue big?

Wednesday...happy hump day!!

That's right......this week is half over so reach across your desk and tell your peeps...."happy hump day!"  Big day today.......will tell you all about it tomorrow....I'm out of here!

Dog park visit...gotta love it!

I have been wanting to visit the dog park for awhile now but the weather has not been very good but I finally made it there last week.  I'm not going to lie...I was kinda nervous!  They have two parks, one for dogs that are under 25 lbs. and one for dogs over 25 lbs.  I weigh 70 lbs. but am much lower to the ground that the other big dogs so I am a bit intimidated.

This was Jane.  She was a one year old boxer and my best friend at the park by far!

This is how dogs get to know each other....can we say awkward!

Jane and I had a great time.  I also played with a golder retriever, a labradoodle, a pit bull(very nice), and a lab puppy named Elvis.  I'm really looking forward to going back...will take more pictures next time and will try not to be so nervous.

Whatcha talkin bout Willis

I know all my peeps are too young to remember this TV show BUT it was hilarious!!!!! Sometimes when the kitty and I are fighting, wrestling or just plain barking and hissing at each other....I want to say "whatcha talkin bout kitty?"

Exciting things are coming in the next few weeks......ever heard of Flat Stanley? MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER!  Well.....will be heading out on some adventures in the next few weeks...stay tuned!  Busy day...I'm out!

They're back...spring is in the air!

Yup....that's right!  Remember these..... ( I thought they were flying cats?)
On my walk today they appeared out of nowhere.  It's getting warmer here so the geese are heading back north for the spring and summer.  I love it....I chase them into the pond but they are not as much fun as chasing that darn cat!

After this long winter I am really ready for some fun in the sun.....come on Spring!

Fourth graders question of the day:  If 40 geese are in my pond, and half of them fly away, then half of the remaining geese swim to dry land...how many geese are remaining in the water?

First grade question of the day: There are 5 geese in the water, two fly away...how many are left?

My peeps are SO smart......I do not foresee any problems with these questions!!

Make New Friends, But Keep the Old!

I love this song!  Do you understand what it is saying? It is saying that yes...I have new peeps but I still love the ones that I already have.

Shout out to my new peeps in Missouri! They are first graders at Skaith Elementary in Mrs. Donaldson's classroom  and they "rule the school"!  Having said that......my 4th graders in Texas still rock my world!!!

Don't you kids worry.....Mallone has enough love in his heart, ears, nose and feet for all his peeps!

INTERESTING FACT : Mrs. Donaldson is Miss Scheetz's Aunt!  What can I say...GREAT teachers run in our family!!!

I'm back....with a BIG problem!

I've been gone for well over a week. While I was gone....the cat has moved upstairs!!!!!  Excuse me but doesn't she live in the basement???? I'm not sure how to react to this new arrangement.  Will she be eating my dog food now?  Will she be sleeping in my bed? On my furniture?

This morning I woke to find her in bed with my "forever family"!!!! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!!!

I will try to send photos when I can calm down and accept these new changes in my life.  Any suggestions from my peeps?  Speaking of peeps.....I have some new peeps reading everyday from Missouri.....shout out to my new peeps and more on them tomorrow!

I'm still unpacking and guarding my dog food 24/7......see you tomorrow!
